The new Ruger LCP is one of the smallest and lightest ultra-compact 380 ACP pistols along with the Keltec P3AT
These two are about the same size and weight
Both weigh 10.8 ounces with a loaded magazine
Both fit and work well in the Desantis Nemesis. This will revolutionize pocket holsters. Never before has there been a material this viscous. It's so sticky it's almost like fly paper. This pocket holster will absolutely not move out of position in your pocket. The inside is made of slick pack cloth for a no friction draw. Ambidextrous design.
The guns are about the same, the Ruger has smoother edges
The magazines are about the same but the Ruger can use either magazine, while the Keltec can only use it's magazine
The Ruger offers a bolt hold open which is handy for shooting at the range
This one is for sale (at the time of this review) at

I own a Kel Tec 380.The one thing I don't like about it is you can't lock the slide back making it kind of a hassle to inspect for cleaning, etc. You say the Ruger has a bolt hold back to keep the slide back. How does this work? I can't tell by the pictures.

I am one of the lucky ones that has found an LCP and I bought it. Luckily I ran into on payday :-). Wish I had of had more $, I would have bought them both.
The slide locks back like a regular pistol with the little catch button that you push up when the slide is back. The only thing is the LCP does not automatically lock open when you run out of ammo. It does not automatically lock back when an empty magazine is inserted and the slide is pulled back. The lock is manual only.
