Mossberg and Remington Serbus

Fri Mar 6 2009
We had the rare opportunity to photograph a group of Serbu short shotguns. This was our first opportunity to photograph both models together. Here are the two versions of the Serbu Super Shorty side by side.

The two styles are made from a Mossberg and from a Remington. These short shotguns are classified as an Any Other Weapon (AOW) by the ATF which makes them federally regulated and taxed. The AOW tax is $5. These shotguns are the shortest 12 gauge shotguns in production. Both of the Serbu Super Shorty models hold two 2-3/4 inch or 3 inch shells in the magazine, plus one in the chamber.
