Green Glock Shootout

Sat May 23 2009
We took three green Glock pistols out to the range for some practice. A Glock 23 (with Crimson Trace lasergrip), a Glock 35 (with Surefire X200 & DG switch) and a Glock 24 (with Glock Laser / Light). The results were not as would be expected. We also brought a Smith & Wesson M&P45 and shot it as well. We shot at 5 yards and 10 yards at a large circle drawn on white paper.

First target are slow well aimed shots at the crossed lines on the target at 5 yards. The Glock 24 did best the Glock 23 & 35 shot about the same

Again at 5 yards with the three Glocks and the S&W M&P45. First 5 shots at the crossed lines then 5 shots at the larger circle. Having a more precise target seems to create a tighter group, while shooting at the larger circle tends to open the group. These 5 shot groups were shot a bit faster than the first target but were still aimed shots. The Glock 24 did best again followed by the Glock 23 then the Glock 35. The S&W M&P45 shot very well at the lines but less accurate at the circle

The 10 yard target was also shot at slower speed. The Glock 23 seemed to perform best, (perhaps because this is the most carried and shot pistol of the shooter), the Glock 35 did next best followed by the Glock 24 then the S&W M&P45. However the shooter has not used the M&P45 very much at all compared to the Glocks

Let us know, use the feedback form to request larger pictures.

It's a lot more work to load all the large pictures.
We are happy to do it if they are requested, but if not we leave them small to save time
