The XD (Extreme Duty) is an 8 year old Croation-made polymer-framed DAO pistol imported by Springfield Armory The XD45 Five Inch Compact is one of the newest designs available. A short grip and an extended slide and barrel length make this an interesting and useful pistol in .45-acp. The Springfield Armory XD45 Five Inch Compact is sold with an extended magazine with grip extension to offer a larger (standard size) grip for practice and range shooting and the shorter (flush profile) 10 round compact magazine for concealed carry. Like other Springfield Armory XD pistols, the XD45 5-inch Compact is sold with a holster, magazine pouch and magazine loader in a nice hinged box. The extended XD45 magazine has a 13 round capacity, the compact magazine holds 10 rounds.
