Made in the Russian Tula Arsenal in 1895. This revolver is chambered for the 7.62x38N cartridge. The M1895 has a 7 round cylinder and it is a Single and Double action Gas Seal revolver. The M1895 Nagant revolver has an interesting action and special ammunition. The M1895 Nagant revolver cylinder moves forward slightly, just as you finish the trigger pull. This allows the cartridge, which the bullet is seated completely inside, to seal against the forcing cone of the barrel.
